Director | AIDA Master Instructor
Harry Liu
Harry is the Founder and Director of Bubbles, and the only Mandarin-speaking AIDA Master Instructor in WA. With over half a decade of professional experience, Harry combines his passion for ocean exploration with a deep understanding of marine ecosystems and local dive sites across WA. Having started freediving at just 14, Harry has since trained more than 300 students over the past three years, earning exceptional feedback for his patience, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail. As an instructor, he is known for his calm guidance, inclusive teaching style, and genuine care for each student — ensuring every course is safe, structured, and memorable. In addition to his teaching and competitive background, Harry also serves as an active WA Marine Rescue crew member under the DFES. His real-world rescue experience reinforces Bubbles Freediving’s core value — safety above all.

Amber Chang
Amber’s freediving journey began with an unforgettable start — even in her very first beginner course, her exceptional breath-hold time amazed everyone. Having trained under world-renowned instructors Emma and Julia Mouse at Apnea Bali, Amber combines elite technique with compassion and emotional intelligence.
Her teaching style is calm, patient, and precise, creating a learning environment where every student feels supported and confident. With her background in Physiotherapy and Sports Science, Amber integrates scientific understanding of the human body into her teaching — ensuring every dive is both safe and effective.

AIDA | Molchanovs Freediving Instructor
Kristy Tsui
Kristy is a dual-system freediving instructor, as well as a yoga teacher and certified swimming instructor, with over 6 years of teaching experience.
She organically combines breathing control, body movements, and underwater techniques to guide students in understanding and improving their freediving abilities in a holistic and systematic way, emphasizing safety, awareness, and the synergistic development of mind and body.

Karl Wu
Karl is Bubbles Freediving’s dedicated Crayfishing Specialist and Instructor — an expert in Western Australia’s iconic crayfish ecosystem. With deep knowledge of crayfish behavior and sustainable harvesting, Karl leads thrilling yet responsible expeditions that blend adventure with education.
As an instructor and course developer, Karl also designs spearfishing and crayfishing programs for Bubbles Freediving. His calm, detail-oriented teaching ensures that every student learns safely and effectively.

Max Kao
Max is your trusted underwater companion — a skilled AIDA Instructor and passionate spearfishing specialist at Bubbles Freediving. With years of experience exploring Western Australia’s waters, Max promotes safe, sustainable, and ethical spearfishing practices.
He is known for his structured teaching, calm energy, and ability to help students overcome fear and build confidence underwater. Whether leading ocean expeditions or providing one-on-one coaching, Max ensures every dive is unforgettable — balancing adventure with safety and respect for marine life.

PADI Scuba Instructor
Thomas Shaw
Thomas is a certified PADI Scuba Instructor with experience in both saltwater and freshwater environments. Specializing in dry suit and altitude diving, he brings scientific insight and calm professionalism to his teaching.
With a Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Thomas integrates medical knowledge into his lessons, ensuring safety and awareness at every stage. His approach emphasizes confidence, environmental respect, and safe diving practices — making each dive both educational and inspiring.

AIDA Assistant Instructor
Andy Tan
Andy is Bubbles Freediving’s Assistant Instructor and in-house Engineer. With a professional background in engineering and years of spearfishing experience, Andy blends technical precision with a deep respect for safety and sustainability.
He is calm, patient, and highly reliable — giving students strong confidence underwater. Beyond teaching support, Andy also designs and improves training equipment, such as his custom stopper system that prevents buoy ropes from tangling during safety operations.

Scuba Assistant Instructor
Elvis
Elvis is Bubbles' Assistant Scuba Instructor and a certified Paramedic with extensive experience in both diving and emergency response. With years of scuba diving background and a deep understanding of medical safety, Elvis is the reliable guardian of Bubbles’ scuba programs.
He is proficient in handling pure oxygen systems and other specialized equipment used in emergency and high-risk diving scenarios. His calm presence, precise judgment, and strong first-aid expertise ensure that every student trains in a secure and well-prepared environment.
At Bubbles Scuba, Elvis is known as the “anchor of safety” — combining professional diving knowledge with real-world emergency response experience to provide students with the highest standard of safety and confidence underwater.

All instructors have a diving experience of more than 5 years. We eliminate all instructors from the fast-track(zero to hero) courses. All instructors have a solid diving foundation and knowledge reserve accumulated over time, as well as a commitment to ensuring student safety through continuous practice.
